La Bisbal is the ceramics capital of Catalonia. The Terracotta Museum explains its more than 500 years of tradition. Its landscape is characterized by the slender silhouettes of old industrial chimneys and for a commercial area linked to different ceramic products that color its streets. In Aigüeta de la Bisbal street you will find the highest concentration of ceramic shops in the area.

Currently, the old town, the commercial center par excellence of the municipality, preserves a rich architectural heritage. The network of narrow streets and the many old buildings show the original structure of the town and the layout of the old walls. La Bisbal is a place to savor calmly, without haste and in a relaxed way. During the visit, take a look at the centuries-old shops and pastry shops!

In the historic center, the Castillo Palacio stands out, one of the best preserved civil castles of medieval origin in Catalonia. Currently, the Castle Palace is part of the Route of the origins of Catalonia. An audiovisual document explains the conflicts between feudal lords and vassals in medieval times. You can visit the noble floor by the hand of some very unique virtual historical figures. From the terrace on the top floor, and even more so from the top of the tower, the views over the Ampurdán are spectacular.
